Will your area be getting a 'Metro' Mayor?

Post by Sidney1st » Mon May 01, 2017 10:55 pm

I didn't even know these elections were happening until they mentioned them in the news tonight.

I didn't even know what one was either, but I do know Oxfordshire isn't getting one yet.

Do you live in an area that is and are you voting?

Probably be the lowest turn out in history.

We're getting one for the West Midlands but don't feel particularly enthusiastic
about having a regional Major.
Sounds as if central government will devolve certain powers and responsibilities
to the new major and not much money.
Someone to blame when matters start going tits up?
