Would be nice if you know who were relegated at the same time.

At events like this, I think you should use a chair like everyone else.

Joining leisure with accy clarets, be great to re-visit where we all started our journey back UTC'S
Re: Orient 30 year dinner
For anyone who wasn't aware of the event. It's not to actually celebrate the Orient game but to acknowledge the progress which the club has made in the 30 years since that game. The proceeds are going to the Burnley Ex-Players Association and to the Barry Kilby Cancer Charity.

Re: Orient 30 year dinner
I'm not attending personally, but will be there in spirit !
What amazing progress we've made over the last 30 years - there were times when we were at our darkest moments I honestly thought there was no way back.
To all those who have a bit of whinge about performances here and there - you really don't know you're born.
UTC NNN.

I'm glad that someone posted this because otherwise we would have had posters telling us how we never shut up about it, and that we use it as an argument as to why we aren't challenging Liverpool, Man Utd and Man City for a European place.

Re: Orient 30 year dinner
I went to the 10 year event, which was a great night. I'm sure everyone will enjoy tomorrow night, celebrating the survival of our club. I'll be there on Saturday with my kids, celebrating having had great days out with them for the last 15 and 10 years respectively, watching our team.

I'll be there in spirits, with the rest of the dregs.
Re: Orient 30 year dinner
Just got back. An excellent evening. Probably over 300 Clarets there and players from 1987 including Joe Neenan, Peter Leebrook, Billy Rodaway, Joe Gallagher, Phil Malley, Phil Devaney and Ashley Hoskins (apologies if I've missed anyone) plus Clive Holt, referee George Courtney, Tony Livesey, Barry Kilby and Jeremy Gold. Now you're probably thinking who the hell is Jeremy Gold?? Well, when I saw him down as one of the speakers I was thinking the same thing! It turned out that he was an Orient fan who was in the away end in 1987 and his description of the day from an Orient perspective was really captivating and his feelings as to where his club is now (being relegated tomorrow) was quite moving.

Excellent evening and as Leisure points out the speech by the Orient fan was brilliant. A great insight into how some opposition fans perceive us as a club and fanbase and just how much a football club means to people.
I videod it and will try and get it on here later.

Re: Orient 30 year dinner
I'm keeping my fingers crossed for their return, too. Proper club. But central London is overserviced when it comes to EFL clubs. The time comes when the land is worth more than what the football club can generate, and if they end up as vagabonds, with Brisbane Road sold out from underneath them, what hope do they have?
