That would be wonderful but, sadly, it ain't going to happen.

I think I have more chance of starting than Defour...

Detour cameo farewell for the last 10 minutes against West Ham is all we'll see of him sadly.

Just the once, given we're safe, I'd just like to see all our creativity together.
Would you play them 442, with Gray partnered with either Barnes or Vokes, or would you go 4141, Gray up front, Westwood sitting deep, and Defour in the hole?

Re: Can we please see....?
Sean will continue to do it his way, and to be fair with the success it has brought, who are we to argue?
I doubt there's a single person around me on the Turf who would start Boyd and Arfield ahead of Gudmundsson and Brady but hey, we're about to compete in the PL for another season.
Barnes and Vokes are too much alike up front and Gray should be starting ahead of Ashley. As for Defour, I don't think there's much else left to say that hasn't already been said. My favourite Burnley player since Jimmy Mac.

That 19 goal swing regards Hull might be a possibility.

If I was Dyche I'd already have be thinking of next season. Therefore, if he knows Defour is off, I wouldn't bother playing him.

Quite a statement, considering how little he has played.Royboyclaret wrote:As for Defour, I don't think there's much else left to say that hasn't already been said. My favourite Burnley player since Jimmy Mac.
Don't get me wrong, I like defour, he looks an intelligent footballer, but I'm not sure I've seen enough of him for that sort of declaration.
Re: Can we please see....?
Surprised me too. Defour is obviously a good footballer. Just a shame it appears he doesn't want to be here. And if his heart isn't in it Dyche has done the right thing.bobinho wrote:Quite a statement, considering how little he has played.

Favourite player since Jimmy Mac? You obviously don't go to away games then.Royboyclaret wrote:Sean will continue to do it his way, and to be fair with the success it has brought, who are we to argue?

Re: Can we please see....?
Away games??
I've seen enough of Defour in all spheres of football to recognise the great talent that he possesses. Over 50 international caps for Belgium also tells it's own story, playing alongside some of the game's greats. He should have been our little magician (as Mac was way back in time) in the way that Silva is at City, or Eriksen at Tottenham, Hazard at Chelsea. More's the pity that it's all likely to come to a premature end here before it hardly got going.
All my opinion, of course, but one to which I'm entitled.
