Keane & Mee
From a couple of reliable sources.
Keane won't play again for us for risk of injury.
Mee is off in the summer so probably the same deal applies.
Hence today's defence line up.

Re: Keane & Mee
I heard Defour didn't play cause he's off in the summer
I heard Roger Eli didn't make the bench because he's retired
I also heard we won't win the league this year, we won it last year so that comes as a blow

tybfc, mmm...can't see him posting b.s. so worrying that he reckons Mee is on his way. Hard to believe.

I suspect there will be a lot of transfers in and out this summer at the Turf. I'm hoping after today we start firming up some of our interest in players

Heaton leaving is more likely than Mee. Loads of clubs will be sniffing there and if they aren't they bloody should be!
Re: Keane & Mee
Keane I could sort of believe.
Ben Mee - no chance. That's not his style.

Re: Keane & Mee
I've heard they are both genuinely carrying knocks, however if todays game was vital one or both would have been available to play, but Dyche is more than happy to give Tarks and Long their chance in the team. The players are our players and we are under no pressure to sell them.
I'd be disappointed if we sell Keane for £25m at the start of the summer, because if we wait we can easily add another £10m on to that as the bidding war would start. It's not like we would buy anyone at the start of the summer.

However, if we haven't broken it by 11am on the 1st I'm sure to ask questions, like "What's for lunch?"!

Aye. Everything we've learnt about Sean Dyche over the last 4.5 years would suggest he's just the sort of manager to rest players in big games for fear of losing out on future transfer fees.

It'll be a quiet June for us fans then, especially with no tournament to watch either.
It'll also mean the rumour mill being even more ridiculous!

Our finances sure will have, so I'm sure we'll see some exciting signings (relatively speaking) even if we do have to wait until July at the earliest.Vegas Claret wrote:I'm looking forward to it, not about how much we spend, will be good to see if our scouting has improved enough to get the required quality in

Absolute drivel....they are both genuinely injured from a more reliable source .....one or both might leave for all I know but I know they are both injured at present.tybfc wrote:From a couple of reliable sources.

Heaton certainly won't be leaving. You could tell that by his slant on the future when interviewed before todays game.Dark Cloud wrote:Heaton leaving is more likely than Mee. Loads of clubs will be sniffing there and if they aren't they bloody should be!

I can't recall the precise details now, but Tybfc once started a thread with some "inside" transfer info that got posters on the old CM board really giddy. Ran to hundreds of posts.
Turned out to be ********.

He also once started one the day before a Rovers game saying the undersoil heating had malfunctioned and the game was off.
But he's definitely been telling the truth about Lowerhouse, Keane and Mee this week.

Re: Keane & Mee
So of ive got this right, we voluntarily started a game from which we needed points to make sure we were safe from relegation, the cost of which is £100 million, to make sure we didn't get an injury which could cost us £15 million is?
Aye, right. Presumably this deal to flog Mee was signed at half time in the United game, given thats when we first subbed him for this injury.

He's a model pro so wouldn't say anyway but I'd deffo say he's with us for the long term.

Re: Keane & Mee
tarks is better than keane, I quickly lose interest in players about to leave. Tripps is same for me, no interest. He was lured away, now he plays for an opponent.
Yesterdays men already. we are also a top flight team, about time some loyaty was the order of the day. Heaton showed real class by nailing his colours to the clarets mast.

Re: Keane & Mee
I'd be very, very surprised if Mee went anywhere. I think we all know Keane is off.
Edit - Mee was on ClaretsPlayer yesterday (as co-commentator). While he's hardly likely to announce he's off, he did talk about a niggle that they'd been monitoring for a while.
