It's the Indian taxman, so maybe Venkys will be hit with a big tax bill.

So possibly they'll have to liquidate one of their many concerns......

This could have serious repercussions for bstards as the next step may well be freezing money transfers etc. No cash from India no more cash for creditors no players wages no managers wage they will walk away and a winding up order could be next.

They've stopped doing that already.

The club is financed at present by the Venkys taking out loans.

A few of their fans are getting excited about the Venkys potentially not being the owners anymore, but as you stated, this could create a major issue with the cash flow this summer. No money/major uncertainty.
They could be free of Venkys ownership but easily be in League 2. Not sure how that is going to help them.
