Ripped off by phone company: Transcripts.
Ripped off by phone company: Transcripts.
Been having fun with Vodafone recently, got a phone with a contract for one of my daughters to use - £21 per month. Was previously on o2 and had no problems, the contract limit was the limit, as soon as the data or call time ran out she would have to wait until the new month. Not so with Vodafone, as soon as the contract limit was reached it was allowed to go on forever....well until it reached a £300 credit limit set by some credit firm somewhere, my first direct debit was slightly over the £21 monthly contract - £170.00. this was back in September and I accepted that perhaps I hadn't read some small print. I got on Vodafone's live chat to try resolve this. I was assured by their representative that this could not happen again and the credit limit was lowered to the same as the contract price - £21 per month. This months bill was £88, I looked back on my statements and realised that it had been going significantly over every month. Too tired to continue at the moment.
Just wondered if anyone else had been having fun with Vodafone

Take the bloody 'phone off her, as clearly no understanding of cost of use.

Yup, no problems with the links. Sorry for the bluntness of my post.

It's quite common for Vodafone to do this.
It happened to my Mum and my sisters phone about 15-20 years ago and the best part was my mum was a senior call centre manage for Vodafone
.
She still had to pay the bill that was several hundred ££'s.
Credit card companies are quite good at doing the same I've heard, but I've never had one myself, its just hearsay from others.
Personally I don't have a phone contract anymore, I use Vodafone payg instead, I chuck £10-15 a month on and that does me all month.
Probably helps that I'm not some sort of social animal though.

Yes I am, but that's a different concept to actually socializing in person.
I choose not to do that and keep my circle of friends who I regularly meet up with and/or speak too outside of the internet very small.
