Transfer Rumour Bullsh#t Bingo

Post by Darthlaw » Thu May 18, 2017 10:25 am

I saw a cracking 'yellow banner' headline on SSN last night with their key phrases, which basically offer no real weight:

'Sky Sources - Man Utd Interested in signing Michael Keane from Burnley'

Once they got to the story, the newsreader got in a great hat trick with 'Here at Sky, our sources understand that Man Utd are Interested in signing Michael Keane.

Also in the running:
'Preparing a bid'
'Agreed terms with the player'

Got me thinking, how many other terms can we get together to get a decent drinking game going?

We should have a separate forum for all transfer talk. This has been posted already, several times. He will leave regardless of what SSN say now so who cares what they say? Consider him gone.

'would be interested in'

' a press conference at? am.

'with a view to'

'still has a house in the area's

'his boyhood club's

'been unhappy for some time'

'a final oayday'

'with a view to a future coaching role

'would suit both parties'

'it's a massive club, a sleeping giant's

Leave it there. Got to get some work done.

P.S. ' it would mean crossing the city's.

We've had another post regarding terminology used by the media to grab headlines and a potential drinking game? I Must have missed that one.

Or is 'consider him gone' your entry for the game? Probably a high scorer as its not used that often.

Its not my fault you don't understand what "interested" means.

It means 'we have nothing solid to offer, but this will keep your attention' in SSN terminology, to me.

Is it your time of the month or something or have you just got the hump because Dyche kept us in the PL?

I think he thinks this is another thread about Keane leaving.

Still can't quite work out whether he has a struggle with reading and comprehension or if it's just part of his act to start bickering.

The chances of Keane staying with us are about as high as those of Judas Horseface when he reluctantly came on to the pitch (barely) to applaud the Burnley fans who had just watched the cup tie at MK Dons! He's already an ex-Burnley player. Time to move on.
