Good game so far.
I see they have mastered the art of diving in the 1st division. Conned the ref then.

something along the lines of 9 out of the last 11 meetings between the two sides have ended in a draw, could well go to pens

Yeah I noticed they'd drawn 1-1 in their previous 3 meetings.Vegas Claret wrote:something along the lines of 9 out of the last 11 meetings between the two sides have ended in a draw, could well go to pens
Re: Bradford v Millwall
Law and Meredith both look good for Bradford. Morrison is a real handful in the air for Millwall.

A big crowd, then. Can't be as big as the all 4th division one between Wolves and us, though.

We took a couple of Wolves fans on our coach back up the motorway to the services, as they were that
p!ssed they missed their coach.

All that from a breakaway because the Bradford player has no left foot and gave the ball away.
He's been running round the ball all afternoon.

Still shudder when I recall trips to The Den. Remember going on Viscount Central to the last game of the 76/7 season and those nice Millwall boys - not sure if it was F Troop, Treatment or The Half Way Liners - starting attacking the coach on its way out of New Cross. Happy Days. And we lost 0-2!

1963Claret -- I was at that last game of the 76-77 season also, sat in the stand with 3 mates, a bit dodgy getting away from the ground at the end, good end of season night out in London made up for it though

Re: Bradford v Millwall
Millwall just about deserved it. Bradfords turnout was poor, they only sold 24k tickets to Millwall 38k.
Another season in the 3rd tier for Bradford. Those cheap season tickets the club throw away, have not done the club any good. Bradford are still not capable of putting a side together to win promotion

There were considerably more Wall fans there than Bradfud...... Bradfud 24k to Millwall 38k looked about right to me.

Re: Bradford v Millwall
Thought they didn't have long for ticket sales but it was exactly the same as we had for the play off final in 2009.
Millwall did have their tickets taken off sale on Tuesday though.

Re: Bradford v Millwall
They may have gone off sale but each season ticket holder could get upto 6 tickets.
I know we had the same criteria for our game in 2009 but considering the known element that Millwall have that is just asking for the trouble that did happen

Re: Bradford v Millwall
Know it's not as simple as this but having 20,000 paying £10 is the same income as 10,000 paying £20 however you also have the extra peripheral sales such as programmes/merchandise/food & drink.
There's also the fact that parents are more likely to take the kids along at lower price, hopefully getting them hooked and continue going in future

Re: Bradford v Millwall
i was at the match yesterday with my Millwall supporting friend who took me instead of his son as he knows that the Bermondsey and the isle of dogs scumbags would be out in force- he wasn't wrong.
1. there were far more Millwall fans than Bradford. id say about 5000 more....
2. you cant blame the stewards for the fans invading the pitch- they were coming on from all angles in numbers- i did see a few stewards trying to stop them but they gave up.
3. the mill wall fans who didn't invade the pitch did boo and show their dissatisfaction at the fans who did invade the pitch
4. Millwall are a bunch of hoolignas
