No, not a "worth a punt?" thread, but interesting story.

Was rated as some kind of wonderkid when he broke into Palace's first team aged 15 and then acrimoniously signed for Spurs.

Looked to be sliding down the English leagues in obscurity, but has rebuilt his career in Belgium and France.

Just missed out on promotion to Ligue 1 with RC Lens, but was voted Ligue 2 player of the year thanks to a healthy number of goals and assists from midfield.

He's still only 25 and will probably be back in the Premier League soon. Fair play to him.
