Chant today
Unlikely. As everyone seems to be on amphetamines when we try to sing such a simple song...
But can we just get one long, repeated Sean Dyches Claret and Blue Army as the team come out (and beyond).
What Dyche and his team have achieved over the last 5 years culminating in where we are today is remarkable.
Heres to the next 5. Lets show him our appreciation. I doubt we will ever match theb Jimmy Mullen efforts but we can try!

Re: Chant today
Sounds better when done faster. :p I don't see what is wrong with songs evolving. The players don't think, "I'm not going to be motivated by that, it was too fast!"
Good idea but I would love a chant of 'Uwe, Uwe" as the players come out.

Re: Chant today
I'd love a rousing rendition of When your smiling. We haven't sung it for a few seasons and of all days with the circumstances down the road if we can't smile today when can we ?

be brilliant if every stand sang it and then everyone together but who'd organise that?cricketfieldclarets wrote:Unlikely. As everyone seems to be on amphetamines when we try to sing such a simple song...

No, they're probably thinking "I can't tell what they're trying to sing because it's too fast to comprehend".bfcmik wrote:Sounds better when done faster. :p I don't see what is wrong with songs evolving. The players don't think, "I'm not going to be motivated by that, it was too fast!".

Re: Chant today
Just give Been Mee the microphone and let him get us all chanting "Bastards going down and the Clarets are staying up!"
That should do it surely? Crowd and team all as one guaranteed....

The problem is that a lot of Burnley fans are the premature ejacualtors of singing, they start ok nice rhythm such as "Forever and ever we'll follow our team " get excited "thburn lef w rew suprem " then totally lose control towards at the end "w ne v b mas b n fly in i" ahhh.
Re: Chant today
I'd like when you're smiling to make a comeback but I bet most of them have never heard it. The old uns will have to teach them
. Would, at the right speed, be asking too much?

Re: Chant today
This is why we need a drum, to keep the rhythm.

Re: Chant today
You know, that's exactly what I have been thinking. Having hated the idea of a drum I have now reached the conclusion that the only way to get the speed singers under control is by having a drum. They are well meaning and keen but simply get carried away.ClaretAndJew wrote:This is why we need a drum, to keep the rhythm.
