What about all the other times we've been beaten this season, do they not count?

Had we won today we'd have finished 3 places higher, which is around £6 million.

Nevertheless, what a brilliant season overall by the Clarets - who would not have taken a 16th place finish in the Premier League at the beginning of the season? A totally fantastic effort over the 38 games ~ a massive well done to the manager and players and all concerned! :-D

Poor game that. Very much an end of season feel to it. The second half was painful stuff. It's highlighted our deficiencies for next season though. 2 wins in 16 isn't a nice way to end the year. It almost feels like the season effectively ended in January. SD has a lot of work to do this summer.

Or indeed, if we'd beaten Swansea at home on the first day of the season.....

I hope people don't get too wound up on the position we finished. 6 point from 8th to 17th is so small to get annoyed about.

It's £1.9 million per place and had we won we'd have been 13th so it has cost us £5.7 million, but it doesn't matter, we've got another season in the Premier League to look forward to.

It hasn't cost us anything, because we didn't have it in the first place.
