Managerial changes before next season in the PL?
Managerial changes before next season in the PL?
Watford are going to get a new manager but who else?
I'd say Mark Hughes has been skating on thin ice and he could go. Likewise, Slaven Bilić might be shown the door as the co-owners at West Ham can be a little impatient with their mangers.
Southampton might be looking for a new boss, if rumours are true.
Leicester are unlikely to appoint Craig Shakespeare
That aside, can't think of anyone who is likely or might be going this summer.

Re: Managerial changes before next season in the PL?
Watford have said they will change theirs
No chance West Ham will get rid of Billic. Deserves another year minimum.
Southamptons will probably go.
Arsenals could go.
Think Leicester will appoint Snakespeare.
Clement will probably stay with Swansea.

Re: Managerial changes before next season in the PL?
The days when I thought anything would surprise me are long gone. If 20 clubs changed managers it would register barely a murmur of surprise in a list of sacked/walked, with many many that could go either way..

Re: Managerial changes before next season in the PL?
Arsenal (Arsene Wenger)- unsure but based on how he acted today after the match and the words he used I'd say its certainly possible.
Bournemouth (Eddie Howe)- may move to Arsenal if Wenger goes. Otherwise will stay at Bournemouth.
Brighton (Chris Houghton)- staying put.
Burnley (Sean Dyche)- staying put and looking forward to developing the team further.
Chelsea (Antonio Conte)- staying put. Will be looking forward to spending £200 million plus this summer of Abramovich's money...
Crystal Palace (Sam Allardyce)- I can but hope....but realistically unlikely.
Everton (Ronald Koeman)- may be poached by a big European team but realistically will be staying.
Leicester City (Craig Shakespeare)- Likely to be replaced this summer by an experienced manager. Think the owners have delusions of grandeur and want a big name.
Liverpoool (Jurgen Klopp)- staying put.
Manchester City (Pep Guardiola)- staying put but will be under pressure next year and failure to improve on this season will mean he loses his job.
Manchester Utd (Jose Mourinho)- see above comments re: Guardiola.
Newcastle Utd (Rafa Benitez)- unless Mike Ashley fcuks up and doesn't offer Benitez enough money to build a decent team Rafa is staying.
Southampton (Claude Puel)- very likely to leave. Too many rumours coming out of unrest at the club.
Stoke City (Mark Hughes)- Staying put.
Tottenham Hotspur (Mauricio Potchettino)- staying put. Wants to build a dynasty and is well on the way to doing so.
Watford-already know that they are looking for a new manager. Likely to be Marco Silva.
West Brom (Tony Pulis)- Purely on the grounds that I dislike how he sets his teams out I'd love him to go but realistically- staying put.
West Ham (Slaven Bilic)- Possible bearing in mind how trigger happy Sullivan and Gold are but it'd be a surprise.
Huddersfield (Wagner) / Reading ( Stam)- will be keeping their manager and giving them a chance next season to either (1) stay up in the PL or (2) push for automatic promotion from the Championship.
So based on the above; I reckon that its entirely likely that 3 will definitely be after new managers (Leicester, Southampton, Watford) and potentially 4 (Arsenal, Bournemouth, Everton, West Ham) more clubs might be looking. A poor start to next season though could well see 3 more managers (Guardiola, Mourinho, Bilic) under pressure almost immediately. Crazy world huh....

Can't see Howe ever going to a top six club simply because they all want managers with European experience.BurnleyPaul wrote:Bournemouth (Eddie Howe)- may move to Arsenal if Wenger goes. Otherwise will stay at Bournemouth.

Agree to an extent. However Howe is liked by Arsenal- that is known.Spijed wrote:Can't see Howe ever going to a top six club simply because they all want managers with European experience.

The one thing Sullivan & Gold are not is trigger happy. They've owned clubs for some years now, Birmingham and West Ham, and have sacked very few managers.BurnleyPaul wrote:West Ham (Slaven Bilic)- Possible bearing in mind how trigger happy Sullivan and Gold are but it'd be a surprise.

If Eddie Howe hasn't earned a shot at one of the Big Clubs by now then there truly is no hope for English Managers.

Re: Managerial changes before next season in the PL?
Howe and Dyche have teams built around trust, more than anything. Both been at their clubs a long time and been given time to get their ideas implemented. Which of the 19 bigger clubs in the division are going to give Howe that level of freedom.
Mind you, if he was manager of Arsenal this season I reckon he'd have taken them to fourth. I reckon I would.
