Fredrik Ulvestad
Does anyone think that he has a part to play with the club in the foreseeable future?
Here's his statistics for the season @ Charlton Athletic: http://www.sofascore.com/player/fredrik-ulvestad/36922" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Matches
Total played 27
Started 26
Minutes per game 85
Goals 1
Scoring frequency 2310 min
Goals per game 0.04
Yellow 2
Yellow-Red 0
Red 0
Couldn't find anything about assists or anything in depth for example tackles made/game, distance covered etc
Has anyone watched him play live this season? Thoughts?!

Not seen him at all but my pal, who is a Charlton ST holder (pauses for minute's silence) reckons he has been utterly meh.

Re: Fredrik Ulvestad
Most people rate him based on some game time against Arsenal I think it was.
Based on that he's got the potential to be a world beater according to some on here.

Re: Fredrik Ulvestad
He showed flashes of promise at times but given the focus we've had on bringing in alternative midfielders it would appear apparent from the outside he's not part of SD's long term plans.
Perhaps if we'd been relegated there may have been an opening for him but I doubt there will be many more opportunities at Burnley.
You never know though.

I think he'll be moved on in the summer. We should get some sort of fee for him (I assume his contract has another year or so yet?) since he's at least played his part at League One level. He's only 24 so there's potential to yet improve.

It was villa away he played well. And he did do well was composed. Showed for the ball well etc. But seen little of him other than that.
In that game he reminded me a bit of arfield if i was to compare him to anyone.

Re: Fredrik Ulvestad
Thought he played really well at Arsenal last season in the FA Cup. It looked as though he was going to play a part in the last promotion season but got an injury which ruled him out for a few weeks at the start of the season and by the time he was fit we had established the Barton/Jones partnership.
Getting good reviews at Charlton until they changed manager. Hasn't played as much since Robinson took charge.

Re: Fredrik Ulvestad
Based on one half at Fulham , when Dyche subbed him , not a chance .
Re: Fredrik Ulvestad
Set up the winning goal for Andre at Bolton.

1 pass doesn't make a season.
There's a saying in there somewhere.

Re: Fredrik Ulvestad
If he doesnt make it with us then good to the lad but the most laughable thing about his time at Burnely was after the Jan15 transfer window fiasco the usual suspects who cant cope with any critique of the ginger one used this young lads signing as a defence for Dyche's inability to sign any midfield cover.
After Marneys injury his status was escalated from future prospect the first team player practically overnight. Lets hope the Charlton fans and wherever he goes after us treat him a little better and dont burden him with rediculous expectation just to save face

Re: Fredrik Ulvestad
Another loan season for Fredrik I guess then, to see if he continues his development?

Re: Fredrik Ulvestad
We'll have players "continuing their development" until their pushing 30. First up for the chop - Kevin Long. Plays two games in the Premier League, his first starts for about 3 years, and gets an international call up. Wow, the state of the game today, hence why we end up paying £13m for the Eoirish Messi (in his own mind).CoolClaret wrote:Another loan season for Fredrik I guess then, to see if he continues his development?

Happy to be proved wrong but, based on what I've seen so far, he's the epitome of the over hyped, modern day footballer. Pretty sure he plays for Barcelona in his dreams.

It doesn't really work if you're rushing to be a knobhead.
You miss words out and spell the name of the club you say you support, wrong.
Take a deep breath, think about what you're going to post and try not to be a knobhead.

Re: Fredrik Ulvestad
My brother-in-law and his brother, who are both Charlton season ticket holders raved about him, and went as far as to say he was their best player. Robinson came in and hardly played him, as he claimed he wanted to focus on developing players who they owned, or had a future at the club, rather than loan players. Both found it very frustrating...

Im surprised you havent got any stats to back up your criticism of my spelling as I would love to know how I have rated for spelling mistakes this season compared to the rest of the posters on here

I don't want this to run on and on Devils Advocate, so I'm calling a truce.
