Tuesday racing

7 40 FAVOURITE ROYAL 6/1 GENERALLY EW BET
Made my notebook 2 runs ago over 7 furlongs at this course…made up around
6 lengths off home turn to almost get up….this step up in trip would seem to be
The logical step.
The fav here GHADAAYER won a weak catterick maiden last time out and the
Other fancied runner SINGING SANDS was a bet for me yesterday when having
Quite a hard race when not staying on rain softened ground.

Things may be quiet this week with Epsom coming up….I have spotted a potential strong bet for
Saturday but this bet will need some cut in the ground so I am hoping for rain this week....utc.

hugh taylor has tipped this this morning on the attheraces website so price has been smashed up...hope you got the early 6/1....he says.

FAVOURITE ROYAL is a valid alternative to Ghadaayer, who is understandably a hot favourite, in the extended 1m fillies’ handicap at Wolverhampton this evening (7.40).

She could hardly have been a bigger eyecatcher on her sole previous all-weather outing, which came over the extended 7f here. Held up off an ordinary pace, she found herself poorly positioned towards the rear turning for home, but despite flashing her tail when first asked for her effort she finished with a real flourish into second.

The third and fourth have both franked the form since, and Favourite Royal herself probably wasn’t on the best part of the track when fourth on turf next time.

Ghadaayer’s form could hardly have worked out any better and she obviously may prove a fair way ahead of her mark, but with Eve Johnson Houghton in such terrific form (three winners yesterday taking her tally for the month to nine) Favorite Royal loosk the value on a surface that clearly suits her very well.

..........
I am not over concerned about ghadaayers form as it stands...the 2nd horse that day won a bad race next time out...6/1 for favourite royal with the luxury of playing ew appeals far more than taking the skinny odds about the fav.

no value left in the price now but will almost certainly be bigger at race time....if you didnt get the 6/1 each way I would suggest a small win bet only now...probably get 5/2 later...perhaps 11/4.
I am on at just short of 5/1 after the 2 none runners after taking 7.8 on betfair overnight...most of my place bet is matched at 1.65 but I didnt manage to cover all the stake....it always concerns me when hugh taylor puts up a bet that I have backed because if the price goes before the connections have got their money on, do we know for sure they will be trying ????

cheers
shame about hugh taylor spoiling the price...I like the bloke but his column serves no purpose other than not allowing punters to get a value price about a horse....he tips a lot of horses I had already decided to bet so my advice is to back my stuff before he posts around 9 am just in case....really glad I didnt get involved elsewhere today...the results were iffy to say the least....just printed tomorrows racing off....not sure yet if anything tomorrow....will post either late tonight or before 8 30 in the morning...utc.
