Australia to ban convicted paedophiles from overseas travel
I have my own thoughts on this, but I wondered what you all think?

I am sure that some people will be annoyed that a convicted paedophile has his movement restricted, but I would rather once convicted they are never released.

I would round them all up, put them in a barn and set fire to it: assuming that isn't against their human rights.

Can't see why anyone would find a reason to complain about it really.
All seems fairly straight forward.

Sounds like a great idea, only problem I can see is that if they can't get to foreign countries to abuse kids will they try harder to do so in their native country? I don't know, and kind of hope nobody else does.

This is very similar to a point I made in response to you saying we should deport paedophiles. You should listen to me more often.Sidney1st wrote:Can't see why anyone would find a reason to complain about it really.

Deport to where? We should take full responsibility for all our offenders. Now if you were to propose an Island penal colony, I could go for that.

Good move. Didn't Gary Glitter get a travel ban when he was at it down in SE Asia?

According to the article there are around 20,000 paedophiles in Australia and '800 registered child sex offenders travelled overseas from Australia last year and about half went to Southeast Asian destinations'.
Surely there is a better way then simply banning travel for all of them?

That scumbag Glitter used to live one street away from me in Cambodia....used to see him walking down the street hand in hand with kids. Rumour mill was rife in our village. Banned from every ex-pat bar in town....
