Re: Dominic solanke
Even if they get away with paying tuppence ha'penny in compo, the wages alone are a huge investment in someone who is unproven (assuming they meet his reported £50k a week demand).
Re the OP: only didn't get a chance at Chelsea because of Drogba? It's two years since Drogba left? What's happened since then?

Yeah it is very good, especially if you want good results, just thought Liverpool were targeting more than good that's all, winning premier leagues and champions leagues. Hardly a deadly strike force of solanke and origiTVC15 wrote:Sounds like a pretty good strategy to me

I could be wrong but I don't think this signing will conclude Liverpools business for the summer !Longsidejono wrote:Yeah it is very good, especially if you want good results, just thought Liverpool were targeting more than good that's all, winning premier leagues and champions leagues. No different than any other club including us. We've had clubs taking us to tribunals in the same situation.Longsidejono wrote:Trying to get 'good' players for next to nothing due to age and contract situations

Re: Dominic solanke
When teams like Chelsea buy up all the young talent, keep them in the reserve teams and send them out on loan while filling the first team with overseas signings, they can hardly complain when stuff like this happens. Sadly for the lad, he's probably swapping one premier league reserve team for another - he'd be far better off coming to Burnley!
