Alex Ferguson
Stan Ternent
Bobby Robson
Brian clough
Harry Potts
John Bentley
Arthur Drewry

The bottom two maybe lesser know but both were extremely important people in the development of the game (John Bentley was a footballer then Football League President 1894-1910 and Arthur Drewry was fifth president of FIFA, chairman of The Football Association and president of The Football League in the 40s,50s and 60s and worked under Jules Rimet at FIFA). Would love to hear from them all on the development of football in the last 150 years.

I'd look at the 'Team of the Seventies' - Waldron, Fletcher et al.

Then there's the England Ladies. A bonus with them is they can do the shopping, cooking and washing up.

If you had 7 footballers for dinner, I'd advise you

tell the wife and your daughters to go out for the evening
buy a good book
have the telly on in the background
