I enjoy when people just make things up. There are plenty on here who don't like Barnes for that side of his game and have stated as such. Personally, I like him. Don't really care about Zaha but then again, he doesn't play for Burnley FC.

A totally useless set of statistics, really. The dirtiest player isn't necessarily the one that commits the most fouls in a season, but should be the one that commits the most fouls per minute on the pitch.

Let's say Hendrick played 24 games in a season and they were all like Watford away. He'd have received 24 red cards, played somewhere between 120 mins and 144 minutes (about 20% of which would be taken up by walking off the pitch and getting the card in the first place. However, he'd not be in the top 20 - or anywhere near it.

I'm also guessing, given the presence of Zaha and Alli in the top 20, that free kicks against you for diving counted as "fouls".

Ah, fair enough! Opinions on Ashley Barnes seem fairly divided among our fans (at least on this messageboard). I hope he stays with us for at least another season or two as I think he's a really good option to have, particularly when he cuts out the needless fouls.
