Sign him up, especially if West Ham are willing to supplement some of his wages..

Doesn't look the same player as at the beginning of the season but he's been paid more. We don't need him now.

Went from a club where he was automatic first choice to a club where he spent a lot of time on the bench - doesn't help any player. I'd have been pleased to get him in January and would now although it won't happen I wouldn't have thought.

Really keen on him joining us in Feb but I thought there was an arrogance in him dismissing us for WHU

We now have a left sided wide man who is also good with dead ball situations and we need to find the best way of integrating him into our starting 11

If, hypothetically, we signed Snodgrass and retained Boyd we would have 4 predominantly left footed wingers. With Kightly gone and Arfield possibly leaving too we arguably need a new right footer to add balance. That said, I think Snodgrass is a good player and may be a better option than retaining Boyd who is a couple of years older.

Snodgrass can play either side, if we are hypothetically getting rid of Arfield, this is an easy upgrade that one would think would be in budget if West Ham are willing to do a deal on his salary.

Injury-prone, slow, overpaid player that's pushing thirty is just the sort we should be nowhere near.

Agree^

Wages, fitness, and the fact that West Ham want him gone for a reason are all things to consider. Move on.

Not sure where arrogance comes from because he chooses one club over another.

What's arrogant about joining West Ham instead of Burnley and for more money? Just a career decision isn't it ? Or am I missing something ?

Not arrogance he joined a team who are an established premier league club and who paid him probably double what we offered.

Would happily take him this summer another player who would improve the quality of the squad.

I think SD could get the best out of him but we wouldn't pay his wage demands.

I thought he was crap yesterday for Scotland, similar to how he has been for West Ham

Who knows, perhaps the glamour move makes him think he has 'landed' and less than focussed.

There is certainly a good player in there somewhere.

I thought I'd posted a response to this thread earlier this morning. Don't know where it went. For the record it was 'No thanks'. I may be in the minority but IMO certainly no upgrade on either Boyd or Scotty Arfield.

We offer higher bonus payments rather than guaranteed wages but I don't think he ended up with a lot more down at WHU - and, if we are looking to kick on, we will need to raise our wage limit again to attract 'better' players.

Ings, Vokes, Defour, Gudmundsson and Barnes, have all had a number of fitness issues but have shown there is enough to their game to merit inclusion in a matchday squad.

Arfield was unwanted by Huddersfield enough that we got him for free, Barton was sacked by Rangers before returning for his curtailed 2nd spell, Mee and Trippier were unwanted by Man City as was Keane at ManUre. Others just don't fit in with the ethos of the team - Brady is still to prove he does for us, for example whilst Defour has generally been shown not to - it doesn't mean they aren't good players but just that what they need to let them be good is not what they get where they are.

He was garbage for Scotland against an England team that didn't turn up, maybe his big move hasn't been all he wanted.

Good player. If we could get him for less than West Ham paid would be a great signing.

One problem, wages. Burnley won't change their wage structure enough and risk upsetting the applecart for him to come.
