Cricket County Championship

Post by tybfc » Wed Jun 21, 2017 5:39 pm

Lancashire are in a great position just after tea on day 3 of their game at the Emirates Old Trafford against Hampshire.

Hampshire are 23/3 in their second innings still 175 runs behind Lancs who had two batsmen score centuries and one score a big double century.

Let the weather be kind to us.

By the way Yorkshire suffered an embarrassing two and a half day massive defeat at Champions Middlesex in case anybody was interested.

Tony - I haven't been there today but you can imagine with the humidity that it will right up Jimmy's tree to swing the ball around.

It would appear that Middlesex are certainly Yorkshire's nemesis-- that is the fifth consecutive defeat that they have suffered against them

He had 3 for 5 from 6 overs, he's bowled another two maidens since. It will be perfect for him with this humidity. Only problem is, there is some rain forecast tomorrow although we should have enough time to win it.

Currently 50/4.

I've been at the Riverside watching Durham v Glamorgan this week, truly 2nd Division cricket but is the 1st Division any better?
Lancs beat M'sex, Yorks beat Somerset, M'sex thrash Yorks, Yorks beat Lancs, what's going on?

It'll be them Yorkshire folk doing a Yorkshire rain dance, sending us some Yorkshire cool air where it forms a Yorkshire nimbostratus and therefore Yorkshire water falling as Yorkshire rain.

Aye you're right DP.

Jarvis got the last wicket to win by an innings and 30 runs.

Which is nice.

Yes Essex top the league with another good win on 114 points followed by the premier northern English team who are second on 100 points.

The rest really aren't worth discussing.
