Does anybody else sometimes still automatically apply numbers to certain positions like in the old Champ Man days?

I know players have lots of random numbers nowadays but I remember it as (4-4-2 formation):

9-10
11-6-8-7
3-4-5-2
1

I always thought 4 was midfield, like a Vieira defensive mid type.
5 & 6 are my centre backs.

That's the number he had last season. I'm assuming Robinson is not coming back and suspect Hennings won't either.

Don't think anyone had said he's left. Maybe they are waiting for him to sign but JBG has got his number 17.

Robinson might get offered a similar deal but to be playing every week or take up some coaching at another club. Must be hard to give 110% everyday knowing realistically he won't play at all.

He had been dropped to 3rd choice towards the end of last season, maybe that has played a part.

I think if Robinson had left Mitchell would have a squad number. Robinson 3rd choice and Mitchell out on a loan might be the plan.
