For once, a Referee stood up to one of the " Big " Clubs and wasn't swayed by who was playing, and at what ground. He refereed what he saw in front of him, and got the major decisions right. He stood up to the pressure put on him by their players and crowd. If Robbie Brady wasn't so honest, David Luiz would've been off too...you can bet the farm that if the boot was on the other foot, a Chelsea player would have been writhing on the floor, clutching his head. Incidently, if Luiz wants to referee games, I suggest he enrols on a Course, and gets a f***ing haircut !!
What do these clubs want us to do ? Turn up like the Washington Diplomats against the Harlem Globetrotters, to get tonked every week ? Some of us who've seen a few winters, can remember Ken Bates buying a groundless festering T**d of a Club for £1, before Abramovich rocked up with his ill-gotten gains ! Finally, stop the endless carping on about lack of players, you've won the FA Youth Cup for 5 of the last 6 years and you've got 40 different players out on loan, for f***'s sake !!
The FA should introduce a loan system for fans, think of it...it's a brilliant idea ! Two thousand Chelski and Manure plastics, banned from the Bridge & Old Trafford, being loaned out to say, Barnet and Bury for the Season. A few Tuesday nights standing at Underhill or Gigg Lane watching League 2 and Johnston Paint Trophy games against the likes of Stevenage and Oldham should give them a sense of perspective !!
Rant over...UTC
