Season ticket required for cup games?

Post by duncandisorderly » Mon Sep 04, 2017 4:05 pm

A "mate" has just been down to get us tickets for the Leeds game; 3 season ticket holders and himself and he's come back with one paper ticket and says we use our season cards this year.

He's a proper wind up merchant so i dunno if he's taking the ****.

Is it a true story?

I think if you're booking your own seat, it'll be added to your season ticket; but not if you're booking a different seat.

If you have a season 'ticket' then when paying for a ticket your smartcard is uploaded with the information and you can then gain access to the ground as you would for a league game!

When you purchase your own seat it will be automatically uploaded to your Burnley FC TeamCard. Any additional seats purchased will be provided via a printed ticket.

tickets go on general sale:
All remaining seats available from 9.15am on Monday, September 11 until kick off.

Note:
Once the season ticket priority period ends, any season ticket holders who choose to purchase after this time will not be guaranteed their seat, and will pay general sale prices

good luck!

Also, I don't mean to hijack the thread, but tried looking online but cannot find one but has anyone got an e-mail address for the ticket office? It keeps trying to charge me under 12 price for a ticket when I am an adult so need it changing.

It was done the same way for the FA Cup ties last season against Bristol City and Lincoln and also for the pre-season games against Celta Vigo & Hannover.

And the person mentioned by the OP, I'm sure he was at the next window to me yesterday when I was getting some Liverpool tickets. He got three on cards and one paper ticket but was querying why he wasn't getting tickets for all four.

Not true. Anybody can buy tickets now. But until Monday, all season ticket holders seats are unavailable to the general public. I sorted a couple yesterday for family.

Ah, I see, I misread it. I thought they were leaving it late for general sale!

How do you think they "download" money from your bank card, which they can't see, when you buy online?

Your card is just a barcode linked to your account on the computer. Tjey add the ticket to yoir account - the turnstile reads the barcode and sees you jave a ticket
