Barnfield Training centre

Post by Andreshotboots » Tue Sep 19, 2017 3:10 pm

Has anybody seen any up to date photos of the new training centre they can share? Latest thing I saw was the video that was released towards the end of the outfitting process. Just interested to see the place now it's up and running and fully functional..

I've got the gallery from last year when the work was going on but nothing from inside which has not been permitted. I think the manager sees it as a working building rather than one for us to photograph.

Cheers Tony. That's fair enough I suppose although after I've finished cricket and I become Burnleys new midfield general I really would like to see my workplace in advance !!

Be another good number of years before you hang your bat up though won't it?

One more year at Rawtenstall I think Tony. Just to try and help the revival shoots that were sprouting towards the end of this season. I've retired once already, just don't want to leave the place who were responsible for all I've been lucky enough to achieve and places I've been around the world in a mess.

I went into the Training centre in July and it is a fantastic set up, we were allowed to take photos but not to publish them.
But a few things are when you walk in you find that the corridors are more like the ones when I was at Townley school, wider than needed but this is so that light boxes with messages on them are on display, they have slogans on like ''its hard to beat a man who wont stay down''
The first team dressing room is like a plush 5 star hotel.
