A great loss, but amazing to have kept it up for 17 years. More time for beer now Barnsey.

Thanks for all your efforts Martin, and sending copies all the way downunder. Enjoyed seeing my article and photos in the odd issue.

Thanks. UTC.

A great achievement to keep the publication going for so long Martin. Well done to you for that. Lots of fanzines came & went but you kept soldiering on with what I always considered to be the best of the lot. :) You mentioned last year that you might have to consider closing it if you didn't get assistance and support with the production and distribution of it. A sad loss. Was always good to exchange a few words with you on that corner on home match days or to seek you out on concourses at away games.

What about Trippier? Easily the best player I've seen wearing a Burnley shirt. Admittedly I know very little about the 59/60 side. Be honest. My dad is a Geordie and swears he once saw Jackie Milburn hit a shot that hit the crossbar and went bounced back to his own keeper.

My better half was watching some beam gymnastics on tv this morning. Just to annoy her I said pfft Nadia Comaneci would wipe the floor with this bunch. She then put on a video on Nadia Comaneci. They wouldn't let Nadia Comaneci in the same hall as the girls of today

Thanks for all your efforts down the years Martin, I used to enjoy WTBM but like many others was a casual buyer on match days, not one to be relied on. Enjoy doing things for yourself and family now!

No longer will we have to experience that sprint away from the pub to get to sell by 1pm.

A sad loss for Burnley fans but hopefully a better work / life balance, in a manner of speaking :-)

The first one I recall was 'No Nay Never ', and I think there was one named 'Bob Lord's sausage '.

NNN was a combo of the Short brothers and a former Burnley Express sports journo who used to visit our former home.

Anyone know how it compares to other clubs? The one that I know, that has been going for a long time, is Bradford City’s, The City Gent.

I remember that being for sale when I was a kid and as far as I know, is still going strong.

It'll be missed hugely. I wrote for WTBM on and off for 15 years and it's always been a pleasure to do so. Thanks for letting me vent my anger and scream with pride depending on the month Barnsey. Much appreciated.

Fantastic effort to keep it going so long, really is nothing but respect for you all achieving such longevity. I expect that as news has become instant it has got harder and harder over the years to get original content. The mind boggles at how you even managed it.

That's an incredible feat Martin. I think you'd guessed we (BLS) were flagging in 2000 when you started up. And if anyone reading this is in any doubt as to how much of a gentleman Martin is, he even wrote to us asking if we minded him setting up a new fanzine. Of course, competition is always great and WTBM's frequency and great content finally did for us in 2001. Congratulations on a brilliant achievement but it's a sad end to the fanzine era at Turf Moor.

Yes I meant a straight forward Fanzine that did not require a membership.

Mind you it's well worth the joining fee alone just to get their Magazine delivered 6 times a year for anyone who misses the others in my opinion.

Thats a shame. Always enjoyed reading it and hearing the chant before games home and away seems like part of the matchday.

Still got a few copies here and some marlons gloves somewhere.

Martin just a thought but why dont you set up a face book page of the same name. Much easier to get readers on there and you dont need to stand in the ******* rain on brunshaw road. Cant do any worse than clarets turf either and they have thousands of followers.
