I am looking for a online site, that if possible provides photographs free of charge or for a nominal fee.
I want to put a drone picture of a beach or something similar onto a canvas so it will need to be suitable for that.
Also any ideas of what minimum res etc I need would for a decent size canvas would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Also Photobox are doing any size canvas’s for £20 until midnight tonight.

Re: Free hi res online pics request
I would look on Flickr. Lots of people (myself included) put their pictures on there with a licence for them to be used freely (there are varying licences on whether they can just be used for non-commercial, amended, etc)
This search for instance brings up a fair few options https://www.flickr.com/search/?license= ... advanced=1" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Download them at full resolution to see what the quality is like, something like this for instance (not my picture) would be high enough quality for a canvas (suggested resolution is obviously somewhat dependent on what canvas size you want but it's not the be all and end all, a lower resolution picture taken with a DSLR will probably be better than a high res picture from a phone)

Many people only post low res images to Flickr, which are OK for viewing online but would be no good for printing.

It varies, which is why I said see what the full resolution is like.
A lot of people upload directly to Flickr from Lightroom or similar, mine go up at 24 megapixel for instance which is enough for a very big canvas. That one I've linked to above is 40 megapixel.

£20? Is that for any size with the lite canvas?

Wow. Gonna look into this. Got some nice arty shots I might give a try.
Any idea what the best size for a 3000 x 2200 pixel image at 96dpi would be?
