Fair play to the Bob Lord stand

Post by Quickenthetempo » Sun Nov 19, 2017 9:12 am

Yesterday when a Burnley player was fouled around the half way line it wasn't given as a free kick until an angry outburst by the Bob Lord stand changed the refs mind.

I genuinely thought they just went on to clap our subs running up and down the touchline, but fair play keep angry guys and turn Turf Moor back into the intimidating ground to play football it should be.

Not sure which free kick you were referring to but the one where Dyer went in for a challenge and was booked, I thought, from my view the Bob Lord, should have been a straight red. Seemed to be leading intentionally with his elbow.

I don't know which players it involved. Just the ref wasn't going to give it until a big outcry from the Bob Lord stand changed his mind.

I thought all Bob Lorders were placed into their assigned positions in their wheelchairs, wearing their pajamas, with their favourite stuffed toy in their laps. The only noise coming from their section was when their caregivers got involved in the game, and were able to overcome the overriding sound of the snores coming from the season's ticket holders.

Don't know where this ageism comes from regarding the bob Lord but great banter where I am and the best view by a mile.
