And it’s happened again
I swear I might kill one of them arsenal players. I haven’t see if it was a penalty but they didn’t deserve 3 points. 3 times now

Probably was a pen. Tarkwoski had a bit of a brain fart.

Nailed on penalty, so nothings happened again.
Nobody cheated to win the game, it was as clear a penalty as I’ve seen.

Was it hand ball by one of their players in the area in the first half? It looked like he had his arm in the air from where we were sat.

Although I'm bitterly dissapointed by the result, that was a magnificent team performance today

Get a grip! People are moaning about a last minute loser against Arsenal. Arsenal ffs, not Cheltenham, Orient, or Barnet. We are where we are on merit and again, for the 3rd time on the spin, Arsenal are very relieved to beat us. I'm not going to lose sleep over this loss.

Expect more class from Dyche. That sounds more like something Mourinho would come out withRingoMcCartney wrote:"It was highly unlikely that it wasn't going to not get given on a day like today. That's all I'll say"

Re: And it’s happened again
Or, he’s seen the refs performance for the previous 91 minutes...
FWIW, I think it was a pen. Is he going to publicly criticise his defender? No, of course he isn’t. He has more class than that. And he hasn’t really criticised the ref, so I’m struggling to see your angle, yet again.
I’m still hurting a little over the result, so I’m not going to rate the ref til tomorrow when I’ve had a chance to chill and think about things. But I can fully understand those who have something to say about it, and SD has that right like anyone else, even though there isn’t much in that statement.

Re: And it’s happened again
I pretty much agree with your view on it but my angle is the hypocrisy of how a lot of people on here would criticise managers like Mourhino and Wenger if the roles were reversed and they made the comments Dyche made.bobinho wrote:Or, he’s seen the refs performance for the previous 91 minutes...

Re: And it’s happened again
Went down like a feather if you ask me - Mason allowed physical contact during the whole game then gifted them with a penalty in injury time. Not so clever of Tarks but still Ramsey made a meal of it.
Doubt he would have given us the same pen.

Nope not a pen, dived and ref gave it.
Based on today's game Mason must be on the Arsenal pay role.

Re: And it’s happened again
A touch on the back when two players are travelling the same path, is not a pen. When one flattens himself and gets a pen, it is both cheating and a demonstration that in the prem, there is a them and us policy, implemented by refs, on behalf of the league.

That’s why Wenger, Mourinho, Fergie before them all do it. Want to make officials afraid of giving contentious decisions against them.

Re: And it’s happened again
Obviously just a coincidence that three times on the spin Arsenal have benefited from a controversial refereeing decision to score a last minute winner.

No wonder they can't afford big money signings all their dry powder is going in the refs back pockets.Lowbankclaret wrote:Nope not a pen, dived and ref gave it.

Yes, Sanchez looked like he miscontrolled the ball and it hit his arm but we have all seen similar given as a penalty.Commy wrote:Was it hand ball by one of their players in the area in the first half? It looked like he had his arm in the air from where we were sat.

If any Burnley fan is not gutted by the manor of this defeat, a third in 3 games in stoppage time by Arsenal, their heart is not with Burnley.

I fully expected/wanted Dyche to choke slam the ref in the centre circle, or call him out for being absolutely useless on tv, however he didn't and remained as dignified as possible considering how inept the ref was yesterday.
Re: And it’s happened again
Couldn't agree more. People forget that football is a contact sport. The penalty yesterday wasn't simulation, it was a coming together of two players, which happens in the game. Wenger was furious after Richarlison dived vs them earlier in the season and then accused Sterling of cheating a couple of weeks later. If that penalty had gone our way he'd be calling out a conspiracy against his team.IanMcL wrote:A touch on the back when two players are travelling the same path, is not a pen. Re: And it’s happened again
We were terrific in the first half. Felt we largely went into defence mode in the second half. Several of our players were looking tired in the second half and I had hoped Vokes and Wood would have been brought on around 65mins in order to throw something quite different at them. We certainly deserved a point but I believe we could have had 3.
