Jack Wiltshire

Post by otto1959 » Wed Jan 03, 2018 9:04 pm

Another dive tonight in the penalty area. Already on a booking, Ref refused to do anything.

A good game though, after saying that Wiltshire has just scored.

To be fair to him, he's played pretty well. Maitland-Niles having a stormer. He's not even a left back but had Moses in his pocket all game and looked dangerous going forward

1-1 Dodgy Hazard pen

Be interesting to see how the diving panel review that Hazard penalty as there was contact but he exaggerated massively.

Wiltshire shouldn’t be on the pitch and Hazard should be banned for 2 games for deception of the ref. Hazard was never kicked hard enough for him to go down like that.

As much as I dislike arsenal that is never a pen for Chelsea. The game is fast becoming a non contact sport n the standard of refs this season has been shocking so far. Roll on the var!

Wilshere, I know he's eaten a few too many pies but he's not the size of a county.

Wiltshire wasn’t on the pitch last time I checked.

Exactly. A breathtaking game that could have been ruined by all the uncalled for suggestions on this thread that that either Wilshire or Hazard should have been dismissed.

Game of the season, so far, for me.

Unbelievable quality with Wilshere having a big part. Not difficult to understand though that Wenger might well have an interest in Tarks, their two central defenders tonight are far from convincing.

Bloody hell Dermot, I am not one for much criticism on here, but that's got to be one of
the dumbest posts on here for quite some time.

They are in talks with a centre half - he's Greek.

None taken. It's just that I watched the incidents carefully and thought that, however minimal, there was contact in both cases. I don't think that it was a penalty though.

Both suggestions bang on the money. If this game had been ruined as a tv spectacle due to those suggestions, then so be it. I'd rather the rules be followed and applied, than ignored in the name of entertainment.

But Wilshere initiated the contact deliberately. QED no foul and second yellow card appropriate for simulation.

If a game is ruined because a player is correctly sent off, then that’s the fault of the player, not the ref

It’s not the ref’s job to ensure the game is entertaining. It’s their job to ensure the game is played fairly, and the laws of the game are adhered to.

If a game lacks entertainment, blame the players and management

More of a pen than the one Mason gave them in the 90 billionth minute at the Turf

Tarky gave Mason the opportunity by putting his hands on his back, but 9 times out of 10 that would not have been given. As soft as that one was last night, there was contact and I think the decision was correct.

I'm surprised you of all people has been brainwashed into believing that kind of nonsense.

No foul was committed so it should not have been a penalty. It really is as black and white as that.

Not been brainwashed at all, Tarkowski clearly pushed Ramsey. What Ramsey did then was ridiculous but if Tarkowski hadn't pushed him, no penalty could have been awarded.

Tarkowski clearly pushed Ramsey. In our penalty box. In injury time.

It was f*cking stupid.

Bellerin clearly kicked hazard yesterday as chambers handballed in the area v westbrom.

I thought Tarks put his hands on Ramsey rather than he pushed him - either way we lost :(

Good analysis there Rick_Muller
I would suggest referees when qualifying for their badges, are taught Newtons Laws 1to 3 inc. Some of the reactions to so called 'contact' defy the laws of physics.
