Fao Hiroshima Claret

Post by claretandblue1989 » Tue Jan 09, 2018 1:32 pm

Daft one perhaps but is Hiroshima Claret really based in Hiroshima? I’m currently there at the moment and would be ace to see a fellow Claret on my travels.

I certainly am, good sir. Yeah, let me know your dates and we can catch up and maybe show you a couple of local sites.

This might seem a bit random, HiroshimaClaret, but do you happen to have a sister called Suzanne?

Didn't think there could be that many Clarets fans in Hiroshima. I've met your sister a few times and she's mentioned you as a fellow Claret. She's one of my wife's twin sister Jane's best friends!

Ah!!!! A small world. Yes, my sister said she went with your wife and Jane for a birthday bash in Prague. Hope you are well.

Not sure if my sister told you but in our magnificent 1991/92 season, Suzanne went to every game, home and away. She used to be a huge fan. I believe I missed Maidstone Utd away that season and she never let me forget it!!!

Yes, she said she used to be a regular. I believe they all had a great time in Prague (girls only). We're all fine, thanks. All the best to you and your family. It is indeed a small world!

Hey Hiroshima. I’m currently in Ushita. I’m a vegetarian too, even more reason to link up! Would be great to catch Miyajima with you perhaps? 18th, 19th and 20th are good days for me. Let me know if these work for you. Thanks

Ushita!!!!????? In an airbnb? I`ve been to the glorious Miyajima TOO many times so will give that one a miss but I live in Mitaki which is home to the beautiful Mitaki temple and bamboo forest which I will HAPPILY take you to. It`s WELL worth it! I`ll even furnish you with cup of Yorkshire tea!!!!! Saturday the 20th is the best for me.

Mitaki is 3 stops (10mins) by train from Hiroshima Station or a 30-min walk from Ushita.

How long are you in Hiroshima/Japan for?

I am staying with a friend at their airbnb in Hiroshima until the 14th and then I’m having a bit of a travel up to Tokyo (15th), then Kyoto (16th) for a couple of evenings, may even squeeze Nara or Osaka in on the 17th if I can.

After the 20th I’m headed down to Hakata for 5 days before flying back to the UK via Fukuoka Itazuke.

Mitaki Temple sounds amazing. A cup of Yorkshire Tea would be lovely! I do enjoy a walk, so I may try and walk to Mitaki to meet with you. Is there a private mail function on here? If so, I will exchange my details there.

Thanks again :)
