Britain First jailed for distributing leaflets that were considered ' racially aggravating they were telling the [people of Folkstone about the migrant rape gangs following the conviction of 4 men that took a young girl above a shop and each one raped the young girl 4 times. You get jailed for that. 14 years ago a policeman stopped myself and a few friends while we were posting leaflets and we were told to stop and go home or we might be arrested the leaflets said DO YOU KNOW WHERE YOU DAUGHTER IS DOES SHE TELL YOU SHE HAS BEEN TO PLACES YOU KNOW SHE CAN'T AFFORD HAS SHE GOT A NEW PHONE ARE OTHER ITEMS BEYOND HER BUDGET we were leafleting in Rotherham the rest is history. This country hates us.

Except that's not what they were doing. They were jailed for targetting people they believed were involved in an ongoing trial with racist leaflets, and also shouting racist abuse through takeaway windows and letterboxes.

You have to ask who said thats what they were doing they have been targeted because they say whats going on and that does not suit the system. I did just that. Google tells me it was the courts (ie the law of this land), based partially on the videos shown in court of them doing exactly what PJDM said they were doing. I'm exactly the same. Claretmoffitt used to be funny, intelligent, thought-provoking, and occasionally wittily outlandish. Likeable even. I remember laughing at his answer to (I think) your post when you suggested it would be even worse if we left the EU: "Worse? How can it be worse? What are they going to do, put me one a -1h contract?" Deep down he always seemed decent. He's utterly dreadful now, I just hope he somehow climbs out of the dark well he's clearly fallen into. I doubt it's a brain tumor, but it's definitely a sharp warning to others tempted to go down the blind hatred route.

There are plenty of conditions that can cause a sharp personality change. Ironically I've developed a few weird sensory symptoms in my legs last couple of months too so who knows, maybe you're right Turtle.

It depends what you see as the endgame. Nobody and no community is ever above criticism but there are those associated with the groups that you seem to defend calling for pogroms and even civil war. This is serious stuff and it has the potential to take this country to places it has not been since the time of Oliver Cromwell. I personally don't think there's anything wrong with you but I'd be interested in what it would take for you to side with some if the 'liberals' on here.

I side with the liberals on lots of things.

- same sex marriage
- Gun control (although I have specific views regarding America)
- Nationalisation of certain industries is essential.
- I can see and enjoy the benefits of multiculturalism even if I have some reservations on its implementation.
- animal welfare and environmental protection is paramount to our societal wellbeing.
- Secularism is paramount in institutions.

To name but a few off the top of my head. I don't just blindly parrot the right wing media personalities like some on here would have you believe.

I think I know what you're talking about though, it was the 3000 registered and known people in this country who are described as a serious threat to the public was it not? And it was immediately after the worst terror attack this country has seen in my lifetime which I'll admit made me a little emotional and illogical for a few days afterwards wasn't it?

And there isn't a just one reason why people have drifted to both the further left and the further right.

There is a whole host of them, and though everyone disagrees on the causes and how bad it might get, the fact that large sections of the community can't hope to get out of their current situation is the biggest factor.

And that is only going to get worse unless there is a pretty massive change to how those areas are helped. I know that some on here believe it will get better after you know what, but there are just as many who doubt that.

Spot on. I prefer the ridicule from both sides for being a much derided 'centrist'. Naively, I once thought that the internet might round off the more extremist edges as wild far left/right views were toned down when faced with you know, facts, debate, reason.

But of course nobody's 'side' can ever be wrong today - just imagine the utter humiliation of that - so you filter out anything that doesn't fit your view because what could 'they' ever say that is worth thinking about anyway? To be fair, as tiresome as some find it, this forum's political aspect is at least one small place where some folk will be able to hear opposing views even if they have been fine-tuned to the point of lunacy by the time they get posted on here.
