I saw that, haha. He whinges far too much every game. He's a good player though - started the season well enough but it hasn't worked out for him since. Thought he was very dangerous first half yesterday. Tarkowski couldn't handle him.

Re: Morata strop!
I thought Morata and Giroud were identical in the fact they were both stroppy, whingy, cheating sods.
However, they were fantastic when they were just playing footy. Unfortunately, gave Tarks and Long their toughest night in PL football. It's a shame they have to resort to the cheating side when they are clearly so talented.
I'd hate any of our players to behave like Morata did when he came off. Yes, be disappointed but don't act like a spoilt little 12 year old! Great fit for Chelsea to be honest.

Re: Morata strop!
I haven't seen such a strop at Turf Moor since that well upholstered young lady from Preston took her frustrations out on a Potato Pie and the Match Programme after their injury time defeat here a few years ago !! I don't suppose anyone has a clip !!

Re: Morata strop!
Strange how when Giroud does it its cheating, but when Barnes does it it's Barnes being Barnes.

Re: Morata strop!
But Barnes doesn't roll around like a little girl (he sits on his backside, arms spread, shouting). He doesn't collapse 'in agony' when he gets a tap on the back of the knee.UpTheBeehole wrote:Strange how when Giroud does it its cheating, but when Barnes does it it's Barnes being Barnes.
When Giroud was caught in the head he looked like he'd suffered brain damage the way he was spinning around on the floor. When Sam was caught in the head he stayed on his feet and so Madley didn't have to give us a free-kick..
Yes Ash can draw a foul but he dishes it out too. Giroud is more talented but he's a complete pansy.
There is no similarity between them at all so you need to find a better comparison...Dele Alli maybe

I know I will get a lot of flak for this but I've always liked Giroud, he knows where the net is, I wouldn't mind seeing him play up front for Burnley.

Giroud owned our central defenders. Both of them. He's no pansy.Guich wrote:

Re: Morata strop!
Giroud was of course trying top get Tarkowski sent off (after his first yellow). Sad but that's how it is in today's game. Someone else tried it too if I recall.
I don't know why people are not impressed with Madley yesterday but he dealt with these sort of incidents exactly right.

Consoled by Cesc Fabregas, oh dear, worra twohat

Re: Morata strop!
I thought he was fantastic Yesterday gave our defence all kinds of problems, probably the best striker I've seen on the Turf this season apart from Kane.

Morata and giroud fall into the same category. They are very good players but one level below world class.

Re: Morata strop!
I thought Morata was fantastic bar the one on one, a really impressive player.
Always rated Giroud too.

Re: Morata strop!
Their two up top were seriously impressive, battered Tarky and Long physically.
