Song for Chris Wood

Post by HaffnersBoy69 » Fri May 18, 2018 5:07 pm

I feel it is a bit of a shame that I've never heard a song for our top goal striker.

How about, to the tune of Joy Division's "I just can't get enough" the following:

When he gets the ball,
And he shoots one really good,
Oh I just can't seem to get enough of Wood nananana.

Also, I've noticed that Kevin Long has (wrongly in my view) become a bit of a fan-favourite recently, so what about this?

One of them clears the ball,
And the other scores the goals,
Oh I just can't seem to get enough Long Wood nanananana.

Any constructive feedback would be well received.

Cheers haf.

I would have loved to hear Ian Curtis singing "Just Can't Get Enough"

The first place to start for a song about Chris Wood should be Norwegian Wood, and crack on from there.

Even though it might prove to be poplar, I think you're barking up the wrong tree.

And we should all sing it standing on one leg.

It's like thunder, lightning
The way your scoring is frightening
You better knock, knock on wood, baby
Ooh, baby, ooh

Only minimalist songs get sung.

How about
We’ve got Chris, Chris, Chris, Chris Wood.
To the tune Knock Knock, knock on Wood?

Love it but rare we get people singing long songs that don’t involve Blackburn

Are you ready for your constructive feedback?

It started badly, tailed of a little in the middle, and the less said about the end the better. Other than that, it was brilliant.
