The arrogance of reporters
The arrogance of reporters
When reading some of the articles about transfers I find the arrogance unbelievable. I can't say the clubs are being arrogant because I don't know if any of it is true but the arrogance of the writer is unbelievable. Would Tarkowski really go to a shithole like West Ham and do they really believe he's worth £5.4m
Fortunately I can now laugh at these reports as I know we'll have the last laugh like we have done this season.

Re: The arrogance of reporters
I'm not too sure I would call HITC or footballtransfertavern writers "reporters".
Aren't they one notch below Ladbible and Junior School newsletter creators on the journalism ladder?

Re: The arrogance of reporters
Left footed English international centre back with 4 years remaining on a lucrative contract here....
Start the bidding at £35 million (plus add-ons and possibly a player thrown in too!). That’s the financial reality of the transfer market today. Especially to a club like ours who are financially secure and don’t need to sell...

Plus those guys aren't suggesting he's worth 5.4 million, they are just writing his worth based off some information from an unreliable website called transfermarkt.co.uk

Re: The arrogance of reporters
It's called clickbait.
Like the one that valued Tarkowski at £5.4 million which we all know is so ludicrous that you could get rid of the decimal point.
Get angry if you like but you're only playing the game they want you to play.
Especially if you're daft enough to link the said articles.

Re: The arrogance of reporters
What arrogance? They are just reporting another club's interest in Tarkowski. What is arrogant about that? Do you even know what the word arrogant means?

Re: The arrogance of reporters
Theres a reason he signed a long contract and its to get much, much more than £5.4m - given he only signed a contact last year, that'll be Dave Baldwins fee for picking up the phone to a potential bidder.

Re: The arrogance of reporters
It's arrogant the way they write that a club should go and get them, like they are going to the supermarket, just because they are bigger. It reads as if they have the pick of our players and we are just going to say go ahead and take them. I have seen a few this week like that about Wood and Tarks. If they had done their homework they would know why Tarks is at Burnley and would ask the question, why would he want to go back to London.

Re: The arrogance of reporters
Tarks is worth 35 minimum, I would expect us to get around 50 million in this transfer market

I'm quite liking Neil Custis getting angry at not being invited to things. Niche I know https://twitter.com/JonnyGabriel/status ... 4509995008" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
