But not quite as good as Defour, or Hendrick, Cork and Westwood.

Yeah I remember you bringing up his name on here, he looks very good, the game v Huddersfield at home was the Defour v Mooy show.cricketfieldclarets wrote:Excellent player. Be happy with him. Liked him for a few years Although similar to defour.

No chance of this.
Re: Clarets after Mooy
Exactly the player that we....don't really need.

It doesn't matter anyway, because I'll bet a pound to a bucket of sh1t that we aren't after him.

Re: Clarets after Mooy
We've got Defour and Westwood who do exactly the same job, and play only one of them at a time.
Why would we sign him?

Possibly to bolster our options ahead of a busy campaign with a player who will slot into the system. Especially when defour has such a record of niggles etc.

Glad to know that I had 'credibility' before this.
You'll never see Mooy beat a man with close footwork.
27 year old Mooy did very well last season, his first season at any decent level.

Why on earth would Udders even consider letting him go, at pretty much any price? They don't need the cash and he's a massive player for them. I really can't see this tbh.

He is contracted till 2020 with the option of an additional year beyond this, totally agree, certainly they won't do business at 20 million.Dark Cloud wrote:Why on earth would Udders even consider letting him go, at pretty much any price? Championship players are being quoted at that sort of figure Joe Worrall for one, they would be

Re: Clarets after Mooy
Not dissing him, but he would had a step backwards to what we already have . More journalistic bullshit.
Re: Clarets after Mooy
Id have hendrick over him especially in CM.
Re: Clarets after Mooy
Hendrick? What games you been watching bot! Mooy is a miles better player than jeff.. if can we do a player swap plus some cash then I'm happy..Bin Ont Turf wrote:But not quite as good as Defour, or Hendrick, Cork and Westwood.

Re: Clarets after Mooy
Well according to the votes on this board, the best game this season at home was against Man City.Claretuk wrote:Hendrick? What games you been watching bot! Mooy is a miles better player than jeff.. if can we do a player swap plus some cash then I'm happy..
Jeff played the whole game at centre midfield, and that's the sort of games I've been watching.
Don't let your brain make your eyes deceive you.
Re: Clarets after Mooy
Mooy was excellent in the championship for hudds and won player of the season for them. He struggled at times last season which is why Schindler won player of the season.
I’d say he would be a squad player for us and hudds value him too highly for us to pay that much for a squad player

Since George Boyd left, I feel we've been let down in the long locks department. Mooy doesn't address that so it's a no from me.

He’s better than 3 of them. Obviously wouldn’t replace Cork though as his role is different.Bin Ont Turf wrote:But not quite as good as Defour, or Hendrick, Cork and Westwood.

Re: Clarets after Mooy
Really ? I would say he's definitely not better than Cork or Defour and possibly not better than the other two either.
Re: Clarets after Mooy
Definitely better than Hendrick, better than Westwood and Cork. Cork used very effectively by Dyche but doesn’t make him a better player overall.Stalbansclaret wrote:Really ? I would say he's definitely not better than Cork or Defour and possibly not better than the other two either.

Re: Clarets after Mooy
Totally agree he is not better than Cork, probably not better than Defour, the issue with Defour is how many minutes will he play each season, and if any centre-mids are out long-term we need bodies even just to replace Marney and Scotty,i'm sure we can get a likely squad player for less than 20 million.
