Luka Modric

What a player. Missed that penalty but, far from falling to pieces, played out of his skin for the last five minutes of extra time and had the nerve to take a second penalty in the shootout.

I like Modric. Terrible penalty though but imagine the pressure

Trrific as Harry would say. Was super for spurs before going Madrid. Just gets on with the games no antics no bullshit. Cork, Defour, Modric would be a bit alreyt.

He's a classy player, but surely takes some responsibility for Croatia's dire 2nd half, when Denmark, staffed from Ipswich, Boro, Cardiff etc, controlled the game.
Until then, was a starter (alongside Rakitic) in my Team of the Tournament XI.

He was very lucky with his pen in the shootout. He'd looked like he had lost his head after missing the first one.
