Gudmundsson

Post by Newcastleclaret93 » Fri Jul 27, 2018 9:03 pm

I’m starting to get the impression Gudmundsson might start playing off the striker once Brady is fully fit. One thing I have noticed in pre season and yesterday is Gudmundsson is taking up much more central positions to affect the game.

He played more central at Charlton I think.

I would be quite excited by Burnley’s attacking 4 being Brady, Gudmundsson, Lennon, Wood

Mentioned it on another thread that in the Preston game Dyche appeared to give him a free role which allowed him to roam around the attacking third. Shows how Dyche’s tactics are evolving - and how much he trusts Gudmundsson’s very high ability.

I think Gudmundsson has really come on and is now perhaps our most important player.

I really hope this is how Dyche goes with this season anything to get Hendrick out of the team so ineffective offers nothing

If Gudmundsson is being given this role maybe it could see Hendrick’s becoming one of simply “filling gaps”. Still don’t rate Jeff though, not in his current position, think we should be signing another creator

Hendrick is class when confident in midfield. His true position. He is nothing like a striker

Dear Robbie, I hope you and Jeff don’t room share for Ireland. He’ll get to know about this post.
