Joe Hart...England
Daily Telegraph reporting Southgate reassessing his goalkeeping options with Gunn and McCarthy under consideration.
If true he’s definitely going for youth over experience.

Popes good. But considering him with one arm is stretching it...Likeavydra wrote:i think hart has had his time with england.. southgate right to look to the future.. pope should still be under consideration.

Angus Gunn is a good keeper but shouldn’t be considered if he’s sat on the bench at Southampton after an average season at Norwich. McCarthy has been impressive for 6 months.

Spot on. Actually playing for your club side should be an important consideration.LongsideClaret wrote:Angus Gunn is a good keeper but shouldn’t be considered if he’s sat on the bench at Southampton after an average season at Norwich. McCarthy has been impressive for 6 months.

Re: Joe Hart...England
He should be watching all the England goalkeepers, all season and pick his squads with those he thinks are the best.
Age should play no part.
Once in the squad, then judge if they work - I'm of the opinion some players just won't fit for England, not because they are poor players, but for the same reasons a player can be fantastic for 1 team and crap for another.

Don’t see why Joe Hart’s England careers is over.. He’s 31 not 41..
If he has an outstanding season for us, then surely he should be considered?
