Unbelievable.
That is so poor for the team, NO support whatsoever!
Could it be any more different than the atmosphere v Aberdeen which was amazing

As we have to comply with uefa rules (hands are tied I guess) I can't help but have sympathy with certain locals (burnley fans) with this "have to have clarets number with history"

I was down to pick my collection ticket up this morning and as I was getting in my motor I woman and her son (probably under 12) asked where to buy a ticket. After pointing them in the right direction, I thought obviously never been on before, good on them.
Hope they got a ticket but I can imagine they had no clarets number with history.
I'd of purchased for them if I'd of known this.

You would hope that common sense prevailed. Two people with a Burnley accent who don't look or sound Turkish. Surely you would sell them a ticket.

Looks like the CFS and Longside will have to amuse themselves by chanting at each other like they've done in the past.

Yes part of this European adventure is the visiting supporters, will feel like after the lord mayor's show following the Aberdeen experience, just hope it doesn't affect the players on the park,it shouldn't as the're professional enough to focus on the game.

I Really hope the atmosphere is not like a training game and our fans turn this into a party.

Really hope we score a couple of early goals - or show ambition to at least - that would help...

Whatever happens I hope the crowd backs the team with sound regardless.

Europe & BFC could be years away happening again and I certainly never had this on my radar... Even BFC in the PL I never thought I'd see it.

Enjoy!

There's a lot at stake for the Burnley fans (well at least most) so there will be an atmosphere allbeit a tense and quiet one at times without away support. If it is close and we are pushing for a goal I'm sure it will get noisy and if we get a couple up in the second half it will be bouncing

This definitely isn't no training match no matter how Dyche, the players and some fans might see it (just to note I think Dyche will want to win and the players will be well up for it)

I missed the Aberdeen match so the chance for me to watch the clarets in Europe is something i thought I'd never get close to ever seeing so bring on tomorrow

Playing in front of none of their own fans will make zero difference to this lot. They’ll be used to it.

Was it Man City fans who were banned from going to Millwall and when they scored, one of their players deliberately went towards the empty stand to celebrate?

I don’t remember Orient bringing many but didn’t change the atmosphere .. hoping for a big European night ( one of many) and I think when we’re pushing for the goal the place will be roaring . For about 10/15 mins early 2nd half in Aberdeen game the place was bouncing . Surprised they haven’t just sold tickets for away end to clarets ?

There will be away fans in - somewhere. You may spot them IF they score! ;)

This could be a logistical nightmare for the Police and Security. Then again, it could be the weirdest atmosphere - ever!

Millwall early 2000's, we banned them from coming because they banned us, opened up CFS to Burnley fans that day, was weird.

Also anyone remember the time away fans were put in Jimmy Mac lower? I think it was Stoke but i cant find anything online, i'm sure i'm not imagining it

I think the Turkish Management have been quite disrespectful not only to their own fans but also to our team and the town of Burnley. Aside from sporting events these are also cultural exchanges. I've seen and heard nothing but good reports from both sets of fans for the Aberdeen matches and also from those few who were able to get to Istanbul. I think it is a real shame we wont be able to offer our hospitality to at least a few of the fans of Basaksehir.

If you're talking about the Orient game there were quite a lot of them as they still had promotion aspirations. They were actually singing for Burnley at the end. Met a couple of them before the game, they were asking about parking. Nice guys.

From what i gather they need a visa to travel here and there is not enough time to apply and issue them one.

Just like us and they had a lot more time to prepare for it. I think a touch of obfuscation is creeping into the explanation/excuse.

They have known for some time that they would be playing in the UK tonight, either in Aberdeen or Burnley.
They have had plenty of time to prepare, we had one week!
