Would be a bit disappointed if he wasn't going to the Championship. If he is off to L1 then they may as well have let him go back to Hearts.Hedontplayforyou wrote:Doncaster bound?

Decent player, should be pushing first team next season. Some further experience should do him good, ideally championship I suppose.

West Brom as a makeweight in the Jay Rod Deal...
We can all play this game...
Or perhaps we are letting him go to United in a straight swap for Lukaku or Rashford

Looked very accomplished in the, admittedly low key, pre-season friendlies at the Turf. His very existence serves, surely, to say that the rumours we have bid for the mad-eyed O.G. specialist Richard Keogh are nothing but a Derby fantasy.

He’s off to a League One club apparently. No clues but they had a 40,000+ attendance on Boxing Day, play in red & white stripes and are the Mackems.

Well, I might be in the minority but I see that as a step up. League One is better than the SPL overall, the crowds are bigger on average, there’s more pressure for him to handle at a club with massive expectation etc.
Six months at Sunderland would do him great.

I was under the impression that he had done really well in Scotland.

Nothing to do with European competition. It’s about league football and top end League One, in a promotion chase, would be good for him.boatshed bill wrote:I suppose that is a matter of opinion. I can't remember too many Lg 1 clubs having a shot at European competition, though.

Was he likely to have been a first choice at Hearts? I guess it's possible that the player he stood in for (was it Berra?) has returned to match fitness.ClaretTony wrote:Absolutely. Wherever he goes he needs to be playing.

Couldn't go back to Sunderland given the money Bournemouth pay him and what he's going to be getting at Rangers.cricketfieldclarets wrote:And jermaine defoe has just gone to rangers. Not back to sunderland.

Re: ARTICLE: Loan deal at Hearts is Dunne
Celtic are better than us.
There's not much between us and Rangers but they play better football than we do and I suspect they'd beat us.
Aberdeen, Hibs, St Johnstone and Hearts are above League 1 standard.

We comfortably beat Rangers in Glasgow twice, admittedly they appear to have improved considerably these days.Bosna wrote:Celtic are better than us.

Aberdeen and the Edinburgh teams i'd say are above League 1 standard,St Johnstone probably not.
