I think after a winning 2-0 and gaining 3 points, to come up with something like that... it takes some doing.
We're 5 points clear of relegation and played the way we know we can play - by making it incredibly difficult for the opposition. I'll sleep easy tonight.

Big difference between Ben Mee and a 14 year old kid who like so many got moved on from his scholarship at a big club, and usually drop the career. We have brought him through to what he is now so yes 1 of our own.

It's a terrible song regardless of who it is sung about. Surely someone can come up with something unique to us and him rather than regurgitate that dirge.

I will happily sing the Hallelujah chorus if he can keep wrapping them in like today.

I liked the hi-ho one!
Oh well... we used to have one for him when he first signed, with a reference to his acne problem too, but as he's got older, it's no longer relevant!

When he’s born in Burnley, and he plays for us.
Other than that, we’re just clinging to something that isn’t true which is more than just a little embarrassing.

He did. But unfortunately, it didn’t catch on. “Message to you, Ben Mee” was great. We went with “hi-ho” sang so fast you could t keep up with it.
We are PROPER **** when it comes to our singing repertoire.

Yep one from our production in footballing terms, rather than family trees. If i served my apprenticeship at a company they would count me as 1 of their own who they brought through.

Rochdale is as good as Accrington - for instance when we had Richard Chaplow and he was “one of our own”.
Loads of Clarets from Roccy.

Any player, who progresses through our youth ranks, to the first team, is one of our own.
We developed him to the player he currently is. MU tried and gave up.

I don’t subscribe to this “to be one of our own he has to be born within the shadow of Turf Moor to parents who have had season tickets handed down from generation to generation” b0ll0cks - like Ian said above, we brought the lad through our youth system to the first team - he is one of our own.

Could you see the floodlights from the Edith Watson ward at Burnley General?
If you couldn't then there are a lot of Burnley fans that can't be called our own.

Harvey Barnes is one of our own, he’s the son of a former player and born in Burnley.
Dwight McNeil is from Rochdale
