Jason Thorpe Robinson OBE, English former dual-code international rugby league and rugby union footballer is 45 today - 51 RU international caps for England [wing or fullback]...with the 2019 Rugby World Cup kicking off in about seven weeks..do we have another Billy Whizz for the imminent tournament?...JR was one of the best wingers we have ever had, famed for his acceleration, side-step and ability to just run around defenders.
LTBT
- this is how he put himself in the history books forever, back in 2003...Dallaglio - Jonny W - Jason Robinson..
- white shirts all over the Sydney stadium.

Never forget that try!.
He was a terrific/exciting open field runner and a super finisher when 1 on 1. Top career with Wigan, England and Lions. Quite a good reel of his runs/tries here (annoying soundtrack warning)

Wow. Sidesteps at pace. Defenders got absolutely no chance!
Haven't really seen much rugby since I've been here.

One of those players that brought the crowd to its feet whenever he received the ball. Must have been a nightmare to be defending against him. Truly world class.

posts 3 and 4 some amazing tries in that little video...once JR had run past you, you weren't catching him - yes pity he's a Yorkie.
Seen a few interviews with him, a really top bloke.
One more try - this was for the British Lions against Australia in 2001..a cracking move, eight players handling it as Billy Whizz runs past Latham as if he wasn't on the pitch.
* the on-score screen is wrong..ignore it.
