Maybe a missed penalty or someone making a bad mistake to concede an important goal?
Maybe leaving Blake and Little on the bench for the Watford quarter final?

Anything from football but only one incident. Not a full game.

For me, it would be Gazza stretching just enough to score against the Germans in the Euro 96 semi final.

I'm glad you brought up the Kane one. It still annoys me to this day and it rarely gets brought up. Kane was selfishly trying to win the golden boot - he should be vilified for this as it cost us a place in the World Cup final. But for some reason he seems to be seen as a hero.

And if I'm picking one moment it would be having an assistant referee that could see for Dunn's offside goal at Ewood. The joy of that lot celebrating wildly only for us all to see the flag raised a moment later would have been superb.

Has to be one of the semi-finals for me - Newcastle in 1974 and Spurs in 2009. Always said that Newcastle game the worst day I've experienced as a Burnley fan but for a key moment in one game it has to be the Pavlyuchenko goal for me.

Did you know we have Jimmy Hill to blame for that? He pushed for 3 points for a win and this is the only season where the champions would have been different if it was still 2 points for a win.

We've got Jimmy Hill to blame for a lot,the maximum wage being scrapped high among them,that marked the start of our demise down the leagues.

Non Burnley games I think it would be United scoring one of their numerous sitters against West Ham to earn them the win and deny B-astards the title.

Burnley - maybe one of the Gazza free kicks v Coventry going in to make the playoffs.
Or even better going through the semi final of league cup against Spurs as we should have done but for the stupid rule which was unique to that competition

I'm at peace with all things Burnley related now, as they've all led us to where we are. Even the sickeners against Blackburn just make our current dominance all the sweeter.

There's so many with England, from way back when it meant a lot. Another vote for Gazza's sliding miss against Germany, although Waddle's shot off the post still vexes me.

As with Notts I don’t have many moments I’d change with Burnley. Having been supporting since the late 80’s it’s been predominantly success. It would have to be the Spurs semi final if pushed though.

There’s plenty of disappointment with England of course. I’d probably go for the QF defeat to Argentina as it was probably around the time when supporting England meant the most to me.

Not sure I'd go quite as far as the breaking of legs, but that enduring image of MacDonald's shirt stretching a yard as he left Waldron for dead is seared into my memory - and I can't even recall what I ate for breakfast!!

In recent times I would like to have seen that Vokes header early doors in the home leg against Olympiakos. I think we would have absolutely battered them if that had gone in. We would have then been in the less grueling league stage. I still believe our poor form until Christmas was partly as a result of the disappointment of losing out in Europe.

I wouldn’t change that the reason being it wouldn’t have changed anything tbh. Plus seeing Blackburn celebrate like that to get a draw at home against a team that hadn’t beaten them for 30 odd years is quite funny. Especially seeing how things have panned out since. We’ll let them savour drawing against us.

The Spurs semi final extra time disappointment is certainly one moment I would change.
However I would never change that first 90 minutes. Despite the horrendous weather and the rain lashing down the whole time, that performance will never be forgotten. Ever
