Can’t recall seeing a more ineffectual performance from two forwards and their replacements.

It’s horribly predictable.

Vydra 5 Has recieved the standard rave reviews that he gets for his trot out as usual on here, but did not stretch their back line. Offered more than the other two though!!!

A depressing day and I stand by the thread I posted the other week - we should sign a striker this window. The goal return this season is an embarrassment and piles all the pressure on Mee and Tarky to not make errors like today just to try and nab a point. It’s poor.

I’ve had just about enough. I’m sick to my back teeth of watching Wood and Barnes, and knowing they will be picked regardless. Burnley isn’t a meritocracy anymore. Dyche won’t change for fear of being shown up. Something has to give and soon because we’re quite abysmal in the final third.

So many poor things stand out from that, I’m afraid. Firstly, it was obvious we picked the wrong team. You cannot keep picking Wood and Barnes with the former especially offering absolutely nothing to any game at the moment.

Particularly worrying for me was the laughing and joking of the players as they left the pitch. What’s all that about? Never seen that before but they looked delighted with the result and the performance.

We offer absolutely nothing going forward and 9 goals in 17 games is relegation material, no doubt about it. Too many mistakes at the back, midfield can’t pick a 5 yard pass and strikers who have no idea in front of goal. We’re in serious trouble, no doubt.

That result is down to Dyche and Dyche alone with the initial team selection. Playing two bang out of form strikers, who even on form still means our style of play is to lump it when they are on the field is idiotic at best.

At worst though you get the 1st 65 minutes we saw today. Bloody useless!

You have summed this up perfectly - this is exactly what our group of friends have been messaging each other. So if we can see this as fans, why can't Dyche and the coaching staff see it, and do something about it. That is what is worrying me. They are the professionals that get paid a lot of money for doing what they do, yet they don't seem to be a doing a very good job of it right now !!! #p1ssedoff

Lowton - 5 - gives the ball straight to the opposition

Westwood - 5 -30 yards behind the forward line -down to the setup
Brownhill - 6 -30 yards behind the forward
Brady - 6 - at least got on the ball and tried to make things happen
Wood - 3 - when he’s poor he’s so poor, has been all season
Barnes - past it - you know when the ball goes up to him he will either lose possession or give a foul away.
Subs
McNeil - 8 - drove at the fullback and gave us some impetus
Jay - 7- did more than wood and Barnes despite no service
Vydra - 7 - stretches them a bit more, deserves an extended run
Don’t understand the negatives regarding Jay and Vydra. A dearth of service and they at least made a bit more happen.

Hard to see what either Wood or Barnes are doing to justify starting games at the minute. They've been poor for weeks.

We changed the personnel in the second half, but not the shape or the tactics. We looked one-dimensional, predictable and out of ideas.

Big improvement needed.

Dyche got that wrong. This isn’t JUST about the strikers though it’s the whole team going forward. Ponderous and scared in possession. Don’t take risks, slow play down, gap between midfield and strikers was huge. For that reason Dwight (who can carry the ball) and jay (who’s good in the pockets) must play. Personally wouldn’t mind seeing Cork back in.

Awful first half, but rather better second half and that was because of McNeil who was excellent and showed that WH COULD be got at. However we still looked toothless up front and didn't make a single clear cut chance worthy of the name. WH defended our crosses really well and this stupid reputation we have for "physicality" makes me laugh when you see Wood (for one) parading around like he's on his way to choir practice and the opposition back 4 get the easiest and most predictable afternoon they'll get all season. We're in the dog poo and other results today have highlighted that and a couple of new January signings (if we indeed make any) might well be too little too late.

I thought their job was to score ??

Anyway another boring toothless display where the "fine margins" didnt land for us to scrape a point or 3.

Sadly this is the result if several failed transfer windows, and this is what you're left with when you fail to improve the starting 11 for 2 seasons.
It's all very stagnant.

Five shots on target in three Premier League games is an abysmal stat. That performance is surely as bad as it gets, even the 14/15 start didn’t seem as bad as that.

No time???? Dwight had a full half, Vydra came on at 60 and Jay on at 75.

Jay was poor and Vydra was usual run around a bit 5s at best
