House Alarms
House Alarms
Is there anyone on board who has any knowledge of house alarms ??
Problem is the internal alarm keep triggering and not the bell box. I have searched internet and found possible dodgy battery and they should also be changed every 5 years. I changed the battery last August and the problem stopped.
Anyway last couple of days problem has started again. The alarm is triggering when not set and is just going off internally at random.
Does anyone know if there is also a battery in the external bell box ? or how do I check wiring for tampers ?
Hate Electrics.
Any help / advise much appreciated.

Get in, grab what you can and get out was always my mantra.

Re: House Alarms
From what you’ve said, it’s likely a tamper on a detection circuit. Depending on the make and model of the control panel, you might be able to drill down a bit deeper to narrow it to which one

Re: House Alarms
Isn't it worth getting a company in that deals with alarms. We had a similar problem with ours, we got a local firm in who'd been recommended, they sorted the problem in no time, very little charge really. They sevice it now for us every twelve months.

Hi Beddie, Thanks for that. Been struggling to find a company to service the alarm. What company are you using ?
Re: House Alarms
They are called Homefit Security & CCTV Systems. 01274 404303 & 01535 634532. The chap we had was called Julian, very good clean worker. They do free no obligation quotes. Good luck with it.

Drop me a line on the contact page, with the make and model of the control and I’ll see if I can help further

Give this fella a ring. Based in Burnley, family firm. Very good and reasonable. Won't sell you anything yolu don't need.

Re: House Alarms
Many Thanks for all the replies and advice.
I have decided to go down the route of repair if possible and an annual service contract. If the alarm needs to be replaced or part upgraded then so be it.
Details left with chosen company.
