WHU linked with a Ben Mee bid
This was on a Hammers site.
Ben had said he wants to stay, but we need to get his new deal done quickly to kill off any speculation.

So they want both Tarky and Mee!
Re: WHU linked with a Ben Mee bid
Can I just say I’d like us to make a move for Messi. There, someone can now legitimately claim we’ve been linked with Messi on a clarets site.
Re: WHU linked with a Ben Mee bid
I personally don't think Ben Mee's good enough to go and play for a top 6 side. Plus he must realise he's on a very good number with us, top earner(allegedly) club captain and family settled in the North West.

Sounds kosher if it was on a Hammers site.

Can't see Ben going to West Ham, he appears settled at Burnley, and is held in high regard by SD and our fanbase.
Tarks on the other hand I could see rocking up at the Hammers.

Re: WHU linked with a Ben Mee bid
This one is a bit like someone posting on here that we are being linked with a player from another club

Re: WHU linked with a Ben Mee bid
The good thing in all this speculation is that at least three teams seem to be keen on Tarky. That should ensure that we get a decent fee for him if he leaves in January.
Don't think Ben will be going anywhere.

Re: WHU linked with a Ben Mee bid
I’d be amazed if given his tough personal two years as explained in the heroic interviews he has done in the last few days he would want to uproot and move to London when wider family live around Manchester. At Burnley, under Dyche he will likely play for the next few years. Anywhere else, it would be a transition to the bench as experienced back up.
So even if WHU want him (which I doubt) I also doubt he would go.
This is football though, not the real world. I cease being surprised at anything.

Re: WHU linked with a Ben Mee bid
Nothing surprises me in football, and if a reasonable offer came in for Tarks in the window it's something both parties will need to consider. Its one thing Tarky running down his contract but what would happen, heaven forbid, if he sustained an injury that jeopardised such a move. From the clubs point of view, I feel a nominal fee would be something the'd have to seriously consider. However I think it would be a lot, lot lower than some on here are suggesting.

Re: WHU linked with a Ben Mee bid
Obviously not much to write about at present. Absolutely no chance of this happening. He is a hero with us-anywhere else in the PL his lack of pace will be exposed, and he will fail to get game time

If Mee was to leave Burnley soon his level of football is too good for it to be to a Championship Club.
Difficult to imagine Mee leaving though

I’ve heard West Ham have promised him he can play left wing if he signs for them

Re: WHU linked with a Ben Mee bid
we're putting a bid in for Soucek in January (we aren't but now they can start a thread on their forum that's nonsense, it's only fair)
