Game showing in Palma?

Post by Jel » Sat Mar 12, 2022 8:24 am

Anybody in Palma or anyone else know if the game is being shown here?
It's chucking it down so I can get away with sitting in a bar today!

I've always watched Burnley games at Lennox sports bar on Av. d'Antoni Maura, 22, 07012 Palma. They have several screens.

I've not been to Majorca for last 2 years (no one has been anywhere :( ). I'm booked for 2 weeks in May, so will be watching the last 2 games of this season there, Spurs and Newcastle.

Enjoy the game. I'll be cheering the lads on at the Community Stadium.

UTC

PS: Hope the weather improves for you. I was surprised a few years back to arrive at Palma and find the temperature close to zero.

Seeing as we are the only 3pm game it should be shown at any sports bar type place.

Another vote for Lennox’s. Was there a couple of weeks ago watching Spurs thrash Leeds.

Cheers for the info Paul, I think I've seen Lennox on our travels.
Weather has been good until today but it should pick up again later. We went to Soller on the wooden train yesterday, great journey if you have never done it.

Unfortunately, not my experience. There are some resorts on Majorca which only show Bundesliga games.

There seems to be a lot of Germans here, probably the majority of tourists I think

Wettest I’ve probably been in my life the day we went on the Soller train.
We decided to get off in the small town of Soller and walk down to the sea rather than stay on the train. The clouds had been darkening during the day but halfway on our walk the heavens opened for a downpour I’d never experienced before.
There was no shelter, so it looked like we’d actually been in the sea when we reached Puerto Soller and went in the first clothes type shop we came across for fresh t-shirts and shorts… just in time to catch the train back to Palma we had gone on, as the weather was still dodgy

That was pretty unfortunate!
The rain has cleared for now but I'm still going to Lennox bar. Mrs Jel is going shopping. Don't know if that's my best ever idea though.
Sat having coffee and a large brandy to prepare for the afternoon.

Most people in Lennox Bar 2 weekends ago were British and there are plenty of screens each of which can show different games. You are more likely to lose out to the rugby rather than a.n.other football match.

Ah well, been in to check and they aren't showing us!
They have opted for the bloody egg chasers.
Didn't realise there were so many people who like watching men groping each other.

Was it busy/full? A couple of times I've been in and asked them if they could put the Burnley game on one screen. Yes, I've watched with no commentary, but that's never a problem.

However, today you might have made the better choice. :(

For the best as it turned out mate. Hope you accompanied the missus on the shopping trip and kept your bank balance in check instead.
