Pretty impressive signing for them. Would have thought he would have attracted interest from higher up the pyramid

Venkys must know someone at government to get a work permit through so quickly, only about three weeks ago he was interviewed at Hibs.

Re: Tomasson confirmed down the road
I wonder if they are more confident of JDT and his staff getting WP's approved ? Seems strange why we didnt announce subject to WP if that is the case.
Everything at UKVI is taking a huge amount of time at the moment. Everything accross the board seems to be taking 6 weeks+ at the moment.

Their comment regarding work permit suggests they expect approval of work permits within 'coming days'ClaretAndBlue94 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 14, 2022 9:52 amI wonder if they are more confident of JDT and his staff getting WP's approved ? Rovers have said so. It's in the article on their website.

I can't help but think he's spelling his name incorrectly.

Re: Tomasson confirmed down the road
I did find that interesting given there is no real function of tracking matters with UKVI.
I can only assume they have specific contact points at UKVI being a football club spending a lot of money..

Re: Tomasson confirmed down the road
I wish him well and hope that his managerial record is as successful as his playing career in England.

This is how it feels to be B4stards
This is how it feels to be small
We get Kompany
They get Tomasson... who?
Tomasson ....who?

Think we've just squashed their announcement...
Still, ne'er mind.

Re: Tomasson confirmed down the road
As a Rovers fan, Tomasson seems a good appointment for us on paper. Our owners employed your very own Agent Kean once upon a time, and a good few plodders since then, but this one at least has logic and merit behind it.
Seems like we both have a rebuild job on our hands, albeit I'm sure you'll be spending a fair few million more than us. The soundbites from our side are to do with "youth", "sustainability", and so on. It's usually code speak for "don't expect much this season", but our academy seems to be producing one or two decent players of late, perhaps with one or two more on the way.
It'll be interesting to see how both appointments will pan out, although I think you'll be strong enough to beat us on both occasions.

Re: Tomasson confirmed down the road
I'll wait till I see who comes out the tunnel for game one before I speculate on that one.
Although I've got to admit I really can't get too excited about those 2 particular games and all the crap that goes with them..sooner they're out the way the better.
