Lampard sniffing THB

Post by adropofclaret » Tue Sep 06, 2022 12:21 pm

I read a brief report a few days ago regarding the emergence of Taylor Hardwood-Bellis, think it was on BBC Sport, and Everton boss Frank Lampard taking a particular interest with a potential move in January to bolster his defence.
Do we have THB secured for the season or are there any clause's that may cause us a problem or two in the next window?

I always thought Lampard looked slimey, bordering on pervy, the OP has confirmed my suspicions.

Lampard most likely won't be there in January. They'll pot him when they hit another poor run.

I don’t think City would sell whilst the lads still developing.

No way City will sell him or let him go to Everton on loan. They want him to get game time which he won't at Everton with Tarks and Coady already there. Just a poor journalist making up a story because he's got nothing else to write about.

He's on loan for the season.

I thought clubs can recall players at the next transfer window (January) if they receive an offer (which gets accepted) to sell that player.

As Firthy says, he'd probably just be sat on his arse as far as their first team is concerned.

Well it would depend on the terms of the agreement, but it would be quite silly of us to be so reliant on a player who could be sold from under our nose on the last day of the January window.

Wouldn't be a shock at some stage. City sell most of their kids eventually. Southampton just bought a couple of them. I can't think of any of their academy products that have become first team regulars apart from Foden.

The report I saw said the move was more likely next summer. THB would be moving to sit on Everton’s bench if he moved in January.

In any event, what are the odds on Lampard being in employment by Christmas?
