Muric

Post by TravisBickle » Sat Apr 15, 2023 4:58 pm

That today showed how crucial he is to our style. Missed him big time. And to a lesser extent Maatsen as Taylor was probably our best player.

A lot of changes. But muric being the one we missed most.

There have been some occasions where that is true, but today wasn’t one of them.

Definitely missed him. We didn’t have anything like the build up and options he brings.

BPF was fine. But nowhere near as quick to attack without muric.

I don't think there would have been an ounce of difference had Muric played. We had 75% possession and the vast majority of it was nowhere near BPF.

This is kind of my point. Muric is involved in so many attacks. He gets involved and the team get him involved.

BPF was fine. Taylor was fine. But nowhere near the energy and composure and technical ability.

Both did ok today. But we are leagues ahead with the other two.

Murci would not have made any difference, because he's not the one tasked with crossing in for our strikers.

BPF faced very little in the way of danger from Reading.
I think at one point he was further forward than Beyer, briefly

He would. Our attacks are much quicker. Much more direct and purposeful when he starts them. It shows every week.

Whatever you want to think, but the issue wasn't the GK.

There was very little threat from the flanks when they had the ball

Because it was played out slowly. When we attack from muric it’s quick. Their defenders are on the back foot and our attackers on the front. Every time they got it today they had to turn. Cut back and come backwards and start again.

Ignore him everyone.

Muchacho Frank is in one of his attention seeking moods again.

I could've sworn the mods said he was banned, but there you go 🤷
